I feel irresponsible, like an absentee blogger. I’ve been busy, I promise, and there are new things afoot. I have a pretty lace hat pattern using Noro Ayatori (soft, squooshy, and light as a cloud) and a little handbag out of Knit Collage Stargazer Silk and Sequins. As for other people’s patterns, I’m working up a couple of gifts out of Coastal Knits by Hannah Fettig and Alana Dakos. Their patterns are wonderfully written and the whole Coastal Knits collection has some lovely details on very wearable garments. I’m also starting a double breasted jacket using Ayatori. The pattern is in Noro City Girl by Jenny Watson. The book has some great pieces–I’ll write about my progress on the jacket. I want to wear it this fall. I’ve finally started designing my Kraken cardigan using madelinetosh tosh dk in Cousteau. This concept is the current love of my life (sorry, hubs) and I can’t wait to knit it.
Other new item on my plate: new job! I’m working at StevenBe in Minneapolis, getting people excited about yarn and sharing the joy that is knitting. Come in and see me and I’ll show you some of our favorite things!
