Things have been nutty lately! I started a new job at the end of May and I’m learning a lot about how bigger shops run and how to get classes and events filled not just with people but with fun. I’m surrounded by fabulous yarn every day and it’s so inspiring! I have a million ideas kicking around in my head that I’m finally going to sketch out tonight. My mom and I are going to have a “business lunch” tomorrow so we can discuss our crafty ventures. She’s an incredibly talented quilter and I have her website in my blogroll. Click the link and be impressed.
I’m working feverishly on a Westlake shawl for her, too. I want to get it finished because I’ll have enough Three Irish Girls Springvale Sock leftover to design some matching mitts. I have this picture in my head and I can’t wait to figure out how to make it work. I’m also giving in to peer pressure and joining the Westknits Mystery KAL. I’ve got some Three Irish Girls (new obsession?) Adorn Sock in Bridget (!!!) and I think I just want to find something to match that but in a solid. That will be Wednesday since the KAL starts this Friday. StevenBe is hosting a Skype date with Stephen West on the 22nd, too, which I’m a little giddy about.
I’ve stalled out on a lot of my personal projects but I’m really okay with that. I have things for other people that have deadlines and it’s important that I meet those. Birthdays coming up (and passed), Christmas to start thinking about. I also want to ramp up my crochet skills past single and double crochet. Lots on my mind and lots on my agenda!
