New Year’s Resolutions

scrabblenewyearI really want to do right by 2014. I have high hopes that “this little knitting thing” of mine will keep moving forward and I firmly believe that, in order for that to happen, I need to keep writing on here. Self-discipline not being one of those things that I excel at, I think 2014 is the year of the blog schedule. I’ll have plenty of things to share this year–I’ve got a profile of my amazingly creative family in the works and I’ll be in New York in 12 days for Vogue Knitting Live, spending time with the immensely talented Keith of Knits All Done and working the StevenBe booth. Plus, I’ve already got a handful of new designs that just need to have some details hammered out and pictures taken. So here’s when you can expect to see new DrawFour news:

Mondays: news, sneak peeks, special event information

Wednesdays: WIP Wednesday, when I share with you what I’ve got on my needles. I’d love to see what you’re working on, too, and feature any DrawFour Designs WIP pictures you want to send my way.

Fridays: FO Friday, when I share with you things that I have recently finished. This could be knits, it could be sews (note to self: “sews” is not a noun, knock it off), or it could be brand new patterns hot off the digital presses. It could be another horrific bunny haircut–just as long as I finish it.

Oh, non-blog related resolutions? I want to knit from my stash (don’t we all?), I want to finish all those things I cast on (right, everybody?), I want to write a short-short story every day of the year (3 for 3!), I want to make this business of mine a real thing. I want to start a family (WHOA.). I have hopes and dreams and I love how this year is starting.

So back to blog: you should be hearing from me three times a week! Also, if you’re interested in actually hearing from me, here I am featured in the StevenBe video blog. What are your resolutions this year?

Hey Bridget, It’s Lisa from geek knit night. I look forward to reading more blog posts from you in the coming year. This year for my knitting resolution I want to make 3 of my own knitting designs and publish at least one on Ravelry. I’ve never done that before but I’ve wanted to for a long time now and I think I’m finally ready. I also want to organize my stash and craft supplies but that may take more than one year…

Hey Lisa! If you need any help getting your Ravelry Pro stuff set up, just let me know. It’s gotten easier than it used to be, though. I actually love organizing my stash. I pull it out every once in a while, tell it how much I love it, and put it back on the shelves in a different configuration. Right now, it’s by weight so I can shop it when I get ideas.
