Work In Progress

I have two sweet little nieces, H and E, with birthdays next month and (for possibly the first time), I am ahead of the game. These ladies are not yet old enough to cruise the internet so I feel okay with talking about what I’m working out for them (unlike the pretty thing I just finished for my sister-in-law Amber, who needs to be surprised when she gets it).

On Tuesday we got a huge shipment of yarn at the shop where I work and in one of the enormous boxes was Katia Sole, a cotton blend ruffle yarn with a pretty shimmer to it. I immediately thought of my nieces and their love for Disney princesses. We also got Louisa Harding Nerissa, a cotton chenille. I’m working the Sole into lovely ruffle boas and then the Nerissa into fuzzy little fingerless mitts with Sole ruffles along the cuff.

In my imagination, H and E will put on their boas and mitts and sit down together to have a princesses-only tea party. Maybe they’ll invite their Aunt B.
